“A national championship is always eventful and always tactical. I went out with Kirch and Wirtgen, we were several in front, and in the last laps Kirch attacked. He was very strong. He won on his own and I won the sprint with another rider for second place. The course didn’t suit me too well, but I finished 2nd. It’s my first podium in the road race at a Luxembourg Championship”.
