“At the Ardèche Classic, I was unlucky (caught in a collective fall, Editor’s note) but I think I’m in very good form. I can’t wait to compete in the Trofeo Laigueglia where last year I performed rather well (escaped at the front for a long time, Editor’s note). I want to do better and get a big result. The course is difficult with three beautiful climbs before a demanding final circuit. You must not be trapped at important moments. A year ago, I had a great race. With the return of Clément Champoussin and the presence of Louis Barré at the start, we will have a great team. There will be adversity. If we play well and we run well, and all three of us are in good shape, there is no reason why we can’t get a result.”

Roger Tréhin, Directeur sportif

“The Trofeo Laigueglia includes events in which Ewen Costiou, Louis Barré and Vincenzo Albanese can perform. It will also be the recovery of Clément Champoussin. We are going to play the Ewen and Louis cards in a difficult race and we are going to keep the asset Vincenzo who should overcome the difficulties. We must rely on the collective and be placed to help the leaders at strategic moments, otherwise it is not possible for them to be present in the finale. This is the type of approach that we will have to have on the Trofeo Laigueglia. Team members must do their utmost to support the leaders who must assume the mission entrusted to them.”
