Tour du Limousin - Roger Tréhin: "to take every stage as a classic"

The Tour du Limousin will be the opportunity for Baptiste Gillet, trainee and future rider in the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement team, to pin his first race number on the professional circuit.

“It’s hard to believe that I’m about to take part in my first professional race. What progress I’ve made in the space of a year. Putting on the jersey of a Breton team is a real source of pride. Now I know that it’s quite a big step to climb. The Tour du Limousin is a very tough event. I’ll be discovering this higher echelon in an ambitious team: I’m looking forward to trying to make my contribution to the team and to receiving valuable advice from experienced riders.”

“When I came back from the altitude course, I had a good feeling on the Tour of Wallonia. From June to September is a bit ‘my period’ every year, I like the heat. The profiles at the Tour du Limousin are very tiring, the roads don’t return very well, from what I know, it’s often a race, which can be interesting for us.”

Roger Tréhin, sports director

“Like every year, the route of the Tour du Limousin is difficult. It will be even more so with the heat. We need to re-establish a momentum based on success. We’re going to tackle each stage like a classic over four days. With Élie, Luca, Kévin and Maxime as road captains, we have a well-balanced team to match our ambitions.”
