The beginnings of Jean-Loup Fayolle and Hugh Harvey

These two events will mark the debut of Jean-Loup Fayolle and Hugh Harvey within the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement team.

Jean-Loup Fayolle

“I’m happy to put on a bib again after 7 months without running. I can’t wait for this to happen. This weekend I will discover races at a higher level, in class 2. It will be a great moment to make my professional debut within the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement team, alongside my new teammates . I know that these events do not correspond on paper to my profile as a runner, but any experience is worth taking. This will also allow me to perfect my technical background by going to run in the North on “classic” type events.

Hugh Harvey

“I am very excited at the idea of competing in my very first races with the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement team. I spent a studious winter in Australia, it was summer there. I feel in good shape to start this year 2024. I can’t wait to run alongside my teammates, to pin a bib on the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS jersey. These will be my first two races in class 2 in the professional ranks, my ambition will be to try to achieve the best possible result. I am now based in the Ain department, it is a great place to train, on the flat, but also to climb moguls. But right now my biggest rush is to start with the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Development training, trying to give the maximum for the team.”

Léonard Cosnier, directeur sportif

“The Tour des 100 communes and the Grand Prix de la Ville de Lillers are two class 2 events, in which the riders of the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement team will have to play an active role. These are classic type competitions from the north of France, quite flat and on paper open to road sprinters, even if the Tour des 100 communes presents a slightly more rugged finale than the Grand Prix de la Ville de Lillers. It will also be the first two races under the jersey of the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement team of Jean-Loup Fayolle and Hugh Harvey.”
