Tour of Oman, stage 2: Cristian Rodriguez 8th
On the first summit finish of the Tour of Oman, Cristián Rodríguez took 8th place in Qurayyat.

“It was a relatively quiet stage until we entered the final circuit to be ridden twice. It was a struggle for the placement but the whole team protected me well all day. My team mates did a very good job and I thank them for that and it allowed me to make a good climb while being well positioned. I had a good feeling today and I hope to be better on the next steep finishes.”
“The day’s stage was easy to read. There was no skimming on the first lap. The peloton came together at the foot of the final climb of 2 kilometres. His team-mates put Cristián in a good position. In the end, it was a positive day overall: he gets a good place, is in good shape, just like Anthony and Nicolas who are in contact.”
