Emilia Fahlin 2nd in Portugal

Like yesterday, the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team came 2nd in the Tour of Portugal. It's Emilia Fahlin's turn to win the title.

This second stage of the Tour of Portugal took place in scorching heat, with temperatures of over 38°. The peloton stayed together, and at the foot of the first climb, eleven riders went away. Emilia belonged to this group of eleven, which dwindled to eight as the kilometers went by. Victory came down to a sprint. She came 2nd. Just like yesterday, it's a good thing, confirming her rise to prominence with the return of fine weather. We're satisfied with second place, but our aim is still to get a stage before the end of the race.

The race today was easy at first with a fairly flat course. The pace wasn't very high. At the end of the race, there were a few bumps, and there was an attack and I followed it. Cofidis had one rider behind but not her leader, the they need to ride against the breakway. In the end, our group went for the win. I didn't take the win, I came 2nd. It wasn't an ideal scenario for me. But I'm happy with my place, my condition and this podium. It was a good day out front. But I want more, the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team wants more, and we're going to continue to do everything we can to try to win a stage in this Tour of Portugal
