Rémi Lelandais runner-up at French Championships

“I came here to win the title, and second place leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I tried to apply myself at the start in order to be in a good position straight away. I succeeded. I was never more than third. I tried several times to take the lead during the technical sections, and I managed to pull away on those sections, but I couldn’t hold on to my lead. I went for the silver medal because I never gave up. It was a pedal race and the strongest rider won. I now have two more World Cup rounds to go, and the U23 Cyclo-cross World Championship in Tabor, Czech Republic, on February 3.”
