The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team was third by team on this timed mountain stage. Kévin Vauquelin is 6th overall, Cristián Rodríguez 18th.

Perhaps I started out a bit strong in this time trial. It's the first time my body has had to work as hard as it did at Hautacam on Thursday. I may have suffered the after-effects of that day. I think I've limited the damage. It's better to experience this little setback now than tomorrow, when it'll be a stage that can create a lot more gaps. It's a discovery for my body, and it's normal to have moments like that. I need to let my body assimilate and recover from these efforts. The fervour of the public pushed me even further today, thank you for your support.

Kévin set a good time. He finished 11th and was only 50 seconds off third place in the provisional overall classification. Some riders made up time, others lost it. Cristián also set a good time, finishing 18th and moving up one place overall. It may not seem like much, but the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team finished 3rd in the team classification today and we have two riders in the Top 20 overall in the Tour de France. It's confirmation that the group as a whole is doing well. On Saturday, we'll be battling it out on another Pyrenean stage, which promises to be very difficult. We're going to give it everything we've got, and we've got the squad to do a great stage.
