Emilia Fahlin 11th in the women's team restart race
For her first race under the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS jersey, Émilia Falhin took part in the final sprint of the Trofeo Felanitx. She immediately found good automatisms with her new teammates.
“Running with a new jersey, a new team always provides a lot of emotion. I immediately found a great atmosphere within the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team. Today was our first day of racing, that worked well between us, even if we still have to adjust a few automatisms. 11th on this first day of racing is a good start. The team is young, made up of many riders who were starting out among the professionals, but their commitment, the execution of the instructions was perfect. We ran as a team. My teammates were each perfect in the role entrusted to them.”
“The wind made the edges easier, and when one formed, all the riders from the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team were part of it. The wind then blew from the front and that canceled this edge move. We had bet on Émilia Fahlin in the event of a mass sprint. The runners worked well collectively, a small positioning error one kilometer from the finish cost us a better place in this Trofeo Felanitx. But this first race bodes well for the rest of the season”.
