“I’ve been cycling for 30 years, almost half of them in the professional ranks. When I look back, I think back to my beginnings in that small Breton team, Bretagne-Schuller, which has now become Arkéa-Samsic and which now competes at UCI WolrdTour level, my first race number in the Grand Prix La Marseillaise, the evolution, the first results, the first podiums, the first victory, the discovery of the Grand Tours, the general classification of the Coupe de France, the first Tour de France, a top 10 in Paris-Roubaix… And more recently, in 2023, my last Tour de France. I’ll keep all those wonderful images in my head. I’ve enjoyed them to the full and I’ve shared them with my family. The public have been great all these years. I’d like to thank all the people who have been with me since I started out, Emmanuel Hubert, my General Manager, my team-mates and the staff of the Arkéa-Samsic team.”
