Laurent Pichon: “an air of Flandrienne”

After a successful start to the season in the North, Laurent Pichon and his runners intend to confirm this trend from Nokere Koerse, this Wednesday.

David Dekker

“Nokere Koerse is a race for sprinters. It’s a very good competition which also offers paved sectors and, as is often the case in Belgium, takes small roads, which can make the event nervous. There can be movement, and victory can be decided in a small group sprint. We were in good momentum in this type of competition a few weeks ago, and we must continue in this direction. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS collective is strong and we can really work for the runners who have a strong chance of shining in this race.”

Laurent Pichon, directeur sportif

“We are going to rely for Nokere Koerse on the group that I had in the first races in Belgium, namely: Jenthe Biermans, David Dekker who appreciate this type of competition in Belgium. We started well, the level will be higher on Wednesday in Nokere. Twenty-five kilometers of paved sectors await runners. This event will therefore have a strong taste of classics a few weeks before the “Flandriennes” actually begins.
