“In the time trial, I think it’s no surprise to see Thibaut Guernalec (18th) at this level. For his first real World Tour time trial, which was of a very high level, the performance of Raul Garcia Pierna (20th) is satisfactory insofar as he has significant room for improvement. This is a good sign for the future. Concerning the result of Cristían Rodríguez, I am satisfied because we had envisaged a greater outlay than that of today. He proves that he is in good condition and this bodes well before the mountain stage on Saturday. This arrival in Leysin will be the queen stage of this Tour de Romandie. In the evening of this day, the classification will be made. With what Cristian showed us this week, we can expect a very good result. He is 25th overall and there are a lot of places to gain.”
