Marie-Morgane Le Deunff : "you can achieve great things if you race as a team"
Team ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Femmes will be at the start of A Travers la Flandre this Wednesday, after racing Ghent-Wevelgem and before the Tour of Flanders.
“Dwars door Vlaanderen is a race that we already know. I think we have a good ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team, in particular Émilia Fahlin, who has experience of this type of race. We also have girls who know how to rub well, which will be a big advantage when it comes to getting into the mountains. It’s still a special race because the level is very high, but you can achieve great things if you race as a team.
“I’ve had a good feeling since the Tour of Normandy, when I felt my power rising on the last stage. I like the profile of Dwars door Vlaanderen. These are roads that suit me.”
“Dwars door Vlaanderen is a race rather similar to Ghent-Wevelgem and the Tour of Flanders because of its hills and cobbles. These are great races to race. It’s likely to be windy again on Wednesday, so that will be a factor to take into account. The aim for the riders in the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team will be to be on the attack, to be in the break and to try to go as far as possible. We’ll also protect Michaela in the event of a small finish.”
