“My team-mates led the sprint perfectly, except that in the final a Lotto-Dstny rider shifted when Florian Dauphin launched me. I had to brake because I was trapped. I managed to get going again. I could have won… but if the line had been twenty metres further back! We could have won today, especially when I see the work done by my team-mates today, I don’t have to be fourth, I just have to win to thank them. That’s what’s most frustrating, not being able to finish and give them the win to thank them for all their hard work.”

Léonard Cosnier, sports director

‘Given the final circuit and the fact that the difficulties were disseminated far from the finish, we knew that there was a good chance that this stage arriving in Louvigné-du-Désert would end in a bunch sprint. And so it proved. The aim was to be at the front and not get caught out. Rémi Lelandais was in the breakaway for a long time. Our two sprinters crashed yesterday, and I’ve decided to favour Léandre Lozouet today. Florian Dauphin and Baptiste Gillet made a very good approach for him. Léandre came 4th. It’s a good omen for the future, and especially in terms of physical fitness, we can see that our riders are still up to the task’.
