“I’m up one place on last year. It’s a new top 10, which is always good to take, but obviously we came here to do better. I’d like to thank the whole ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team for all the work they’ve done for me. I gave it my all. My aim is to improve in the coming races over the next few weeks.”

Roger Tréhin, directeur sportif

“We tried to do what we said at the briefing, which was to protect Ewen Costiou, Cristián Rodríguez and Clément Champoussin. The podium came down to the final climb. Ewen had a good climb but the strongest rider won. I’m a bit disappointed with the overall result. Despite everything, Ewen, a week after his victory in Saumur on the Région Pays de la Loire Tour, showed that he was in good form, in the midst of some pretty stiff competition.”
