A former yellow jersey in the Tour de l'Avenir, Simon Guglielmi possesses excellent puncheur's skills combined with a speed that could enable him to shine in certain races on the domestic calendar when given the opportunity. Renowned for his qualities as a team-mate, the Savoyard knows what the word "leader" means. His experience of the World Tour and his two participations in the Giro - including a 5th place in 2021 on the so-called "Strade Bianche" stage - is an asset in the service of the team. A solid team-mate, but also adept when given carte blanche to practise offensive cycling, Simon distinguished himself on several occasions last year, notably on the roads of the Tour de France, 9th in the 15th stage, and who was voted the most combative rider two days earlier.
