On Friday, we finished 10th and 11th with Mathis Le Berre. At the finish, I promised that we wouldn't settle for that and that we'd seize every opportunity. That's what I did today. I finished 7th and I'm going for this top 10. I owe it all to the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team who did a great job. There was a bit of friction in the final but I gave it my all. I'm really pleased. People often think of me as a climber, but I'm more of a puncheur. In this Vuelta, I've finished 17th, 12th, twice 11th and 7th today. We're going to try to do even better now.

It was a great stage with a fine sprint from Simon Guglielmi who finished 7th. At the start of the race, we tried to get into the breakaway but we soon realised that Visma - Lease a Bike wanted to control the peloton and finish in a sprint. In the first group we had Cristián Rodríguez, Laurens Huys and Simon. We had a very good top 7 from Simon, confirming his good condition. Once again, the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team performed extremely well. We're making progress day by day...
