Tour of Guangxi - Cristián Rodríguez : "finish on a high note"
13th overall in the Vuelta Ciclista a España, Cristián Rodríguez will lead Team Arkéa-Samsic in the Tour of Guangxi.
“I’m very motivated for the Tour of Guangxi. I think we have what it takes to put on a very good race. It will be at UCI WorldTour level, but I have great ambitions for the Arkea-Samsic team and myself. I’m going to try to do well in this race, which will be my last of the 2023 season. I’ve got a good feeling about it and I’ve prepared well. It’ll be a new event that I’ll be discovering, but I think that some of the stages could suit me very well.”
“13th in the recent Vuelta Ciclista a España, Cristián Rodríguez will be our leader for the difficult stages of the Tour of Guangxi, but also for the overall classification of this final UCI WorldTour race of the week, which takes place in China and is back on the calendar after several years of interruption due to Covid. He will be supported by Alessandro Verre and Louis Barré as soon as the road rises. This event can also be good for sprinters on certain stages, which is why we have chosen to sign up David Dekker, Donavan Grondin and Amaury Capiot.”
