Raúl García Pierna's race program
A former Spanish elite time trial champion, the young Spaniard will start his season in the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS jersey at the Challenge Mallorca.
“I feel, and can see in Raúl García Pierna, a rider who is happy to be part of the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS UCI WorldTour team. During the team’s two winter training camps in Spain, Raúl developed better values than he had in previous years. Signs that this young rider is progressing well. But we all know that the decisive factor remains the competition, and that this is the only reflection of the sporting value and qualities of an athlete. Raúl, like every member of the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team, is new to me. Compared to what he has shown in the past, he has real qualities, particularly in the time trial, and he can still improve in the mountains. So I’m going to wait for a few races to go by before I can fully assess him. In any case, I think he’s a great recruit who can bring us a lot in terms of freshness, desire and joie de vivre”.
