The 6th stage of the Giro, which arrived in Naples, was neutralised in terms of time, but was nevertheless contested for victory, with Luca Mozzato finishing in 8th place.

Wednesday was the longest stage of the Giro 2025. The race was hotly contested from the start, and collectively we were involved, with Michel Ries in the breakaway. Simon Guglielmi, Giosuè Épis and Embret Svestad-Bårdseng were very supportive of me in the final to Naples. They helped me get back on track and I finished 8th in Naples. I'm a bit disappointed because I fell into a hole in the last kilometre and wasn't able to take my chances 100%. But it's still a top 10 finish, on a Grand Tour, and that's not neutral.

This 6th stage of the Giro, which arrived in Naples, was the longest of this edition. The start of the race was fairly hilly, and the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS riders were vigilant. Michel was part of the breakaway that quickly formed. Ineos brought everything back even though they had one rider in front. There was a big crash involving 40 riders, including three of ours: Alessandro Verre, Martin Tjøtta and Michel Ries, who suffered knee injuries. They all set off again. In the final, we still had five riders in the peloton who were in contention for the stage win, even though it was neutralised in time, Luca was well accompanied. He's going for a top 10 finish. The team is growing in strength, and all the riders are concentrated and committed. Tomorrow there's a change of scene: the 1st mountain stage.
