It's a big week in Brittany, with the Boucles de l'Aulne, the Grand Prix de Plumelec, the Tour du Finistère and to round off the Tro Bro Léon. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team will be playing “at home”, with the aim of doing well on home soil.

I'm really looking forward to discovering these Breton classics. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team is Breton and so are our partners. These are great competitions ahead for me and for the red and black team. The Aulne will be the opening race of the series, which I'll be taking part in. Plumelec has a hard, punchy finish at the top of the côte de Cadoudal. Finally, I'll be finishing with the Tro Bro Léon, a legendary race, with its ribins, an event that's a bit like the Strade Bianche and Paris-Tours. I'm going to these three great Breton classics with great motivation, as is the whole ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team present at these competitions.

A second season will begin for me at the Tour du Finistère following my crash during the Route Adélie. I took five days off, then ten days later I started riding again on a home-trainer, followed by a fortnight of personal training. I can't wait to put a number back on my Excalibur ARKEA-B&B HOTELS jersey. The Tour de Finistère is a tough race, with a course that is, as they say, “always in the grip”, and a number of strategic sectors along the way. I'm delighted to be back competing in Brittany, in front of the supporters of the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team. My mission in this competition will be to place my team-mates at the key points of this beautiful classic, and why not, depending on the situation of the race, defend my chances and put forward the red and black colours of ARKEA-B&B HOTELS to the best of my ability.

The Boucles de l'Aulne has a slightly different race profile this year compared with previous editions. This year the riders will climb four times to the summit of Menez Quelerc'h, before arriving on the traditional final circuit of Châteaulin. It's a tough race, with plenty of scope for attack, and it's always a good race for a rider who gets over the bumps well, with victory often going to a small group. The Grand Prix du Morbihan in Plumelec will have the traditional climb of the Côte Cadoudal. It's a puncheur's finish and we'll have some trump cards to play in this race. These four days in Brittany are bound to motivate us, and we're going into them with ambitions. These are generally events that smile on the daring, on riders who like to practice offensive cycling. The aim is to have a full weekend with the riders from the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team.

The Tour du Finistère is a race reserved for puncheurs, with a fairly difficult final circuit often lined by a large crowd. With Jenthe and Amaury, we've got the makings of a winner-takes-all finish, but we'll also have Élie Gesbert and Thibault Guernalec, who will be racing on home soil. Finally, the Tro Bro Léon is ‘The Race’. It's a competition with character, always special. When people talk about cycling in Brittany, they very quickly mention the Tro Bro Léon. It's a race that's geographically close to the head offices of our two title partners, ARKEA and B&B HOTELS. We're a Breton team, and we're going to be competing on home soil, with the desire to do well and the intention of doing everything we can to go for victory, even if we know in advance that a lot of things can change the course of this event like no other. In any case, we'll have a very fine squad at the start of this event, and they'll be motivated to compete.
