Taking part in the Tro Bro Leon for the first time on Sunday, Kévin Vauquelin raced from the front. He finished 10th.

I had very good legs, but unfortunately I crashed, but that's the vagaries of racing. This is the Tro Bro Léon. A lot of riders had punctures today. As for me, I was unlucky because it happened just as I was breaking away from the leading group. That's racing, you know what you can expect when you take part in this event. I still managed to catch up with the leading group. I caught up with Bastien Tronchon (winner) thinking I'd get a result. But in the final, because I'd been doing almost a time trial all day, I lost contact. When I set off, I think I really had the legs to win. But fate decided otherwise. But I still enjoyed the race.

We certainly had some bad luck, but who hasn't on this Tro Bro Léon? Bastien Tronchon, the winner, had a puncture, Fredrik Dversnes fell in the roundabout. Valentin Madouas also had his share of problems. The Tro Bro Léon is a tough event, but the weather conditions this year made it even tougher. We lost Mathis Le Berre very early on when he crashed. But the team was there. We tackled the key sectors of the race with the positioning we needed. We had a few punctures, but like all the teams, perhaps not at the right time. When Kévin Vauquelin had a puncture, he was in front, but unfortunately there wasn't enough of a gap for me to get behind him and help him out very quickly. I did so as quickly as possible, but he went back behind the counter group. He brings back Tronchon who wins. It's a bit frustrating, but that's also part of the race. That's just the way it is.
