Jean-Loup Fayolle managed to retain his place on the final podium in the Valle d'Aosta. He is 3rd overall. Like the whole ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement team this week, he didn't give up and fought right to the end. Unfortunately, this edition will be remembered for the tragic accident on the first stage, but from a sporting point of view, the results are very good for us.
It's the biggest performance by the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement team since its creation at the start of the 2024 season. The Giro Valle d'Aosta is one of the most famous races for U23 riders, and achieving a final podium in such a race is a great performance for Jean-Loup, as well as for the team, as we also finished first in the team classification.
I liked the state of mind of all the riders this week. We went on the offensive on every stage and it paid off. We were a close-knit team. I'd like to highlight the hard work put in by Baptiste Gillet all week. He was at the front today, and then helped Edoardo to hold on for the overall, before fighting himself to the finish for the team classification. Two places from two, 3rd overall and winner of the team classification, I'm very satisfied with our results this evening.
