Jean-Loup Fayolle has moved up one place in the overall classification and is now 2nd in the Giro Valle d'Aosta.

It was a Dantesque stage today with a very difficult profile and complicated weather conditions. Everything went well in the first part of the race. Edoardo and I were there with the other favourites at the foot of the final climb. We can congratulate each other for always being in the thick of things on this stage. I'm back up to 2nd place in the provisional overall classification at the end of this fourth stage. I'm now going to try to consolidate this runner-up spot on Sunday at the Giro Valle d'Aosta.

It was another good day for ARKEA-B&B HOTELS Développement at the Giro Valle d'Aosta. We maintained our attacking spirit. The stage was very difficult, both in terms of the gradient and the rain that accompanied the riders. So the selection was made very quickly. At the foot of the final climb, Edoardo and Jean-Loup were still in the yellow jersey group. Edoardo went on the attack twice. Jean-Loup perhaps paid a little for his efforts of the previous day in the final. Jean-Loup and Edoardo were 10th and 12th respectively on the stage. Tomorrow's final day of racing is another tough one, with a long final climb. We'll be fighting to keep our place on the podium. Jean-Loup is this evening 2nd and Edoardo 7th in the provisional overall classification.
