Ewen Costiou leads the Tour du Limousin

After two consecutive days on the podium, finishing second yesterday and third today, Ewen Costiou took the leader's jersey in the Tour du Limousin thanks to bonus points.

Tonight, I'm leading the provisional classification of the Tour du Limousin, which is great. But the goal was to win this stage, which finished in Grèzes. Four of us broke away in the final, and the last climb was very tactical. Sylvain Moniquet played it really well by attacking, and he's going to win at the top of the Périgourdins hills. The rest of us were marking each other. That's racing. I finished third, and thanks to the bonus points, I took the yellow jersey as leader of the Tour du Limousin. Now I have to hold on to it. We were really hoping to win the stage today. I would like to thank Martin Tjøtta, who did a great job for me in the final. We'll race tomorrow with the same collective ambition and do everything we can to try to keep the leader's jersey until Limoges. There are two difficult stages left, and we know from experience that nothing is ever a given in the Tour du Limousin. So we'll have to be 100% physically and continue to be strong collectively, as we have been since the start of this race.

We are delighted that Ewen Costiou has taken the leader's jersey. Once again, we saw a strong ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team working together around him throughout this second stage, initially to filter out any breakaways that could prove dangerous. Thanks to the lead Ewen gained yesterday, it was up to the other teams to make up time. Decathlon made the race tougher with this in mind, but we were able to respond collectively. Ewen and Martin both found themselves at the front in the final. The end of the race was quite tactical. Martin pushed hard, but behind him Ewen didn't make the break. Moniquet slipped through our fingers for the stage victory, and he also took the bonus points awarded to the winner. Ewen finished third and also took some. He now has a two-second lead in the provisional overall classification of the Tour du Limousin. We're going to fight to keep the jersey. We still have two days to go to Limoges, and the whole group is motivated and united around Ewen.
