The first week of La Vuelta ended with a mountain stage. Cristián Rodriguez took 16th place.

It was a tough day. It was fast from the start with a breakaway that formed very early. I didn't take it and I stayed in the wheels of the best. On the last climb, I was at full speed and 2 km from the summit, just before switching to the descent to reach the finish, I dropped out. I finished with the group behind with Sepp Kjuss. The sensations were good. I feel good. We only did one week of racing, there are two left. We'll see in the next few days

Once again, Cristián held his own. He was with the best in the general classification. In the last climb, it was not much that was missing for him to switch to the group of leaders for the red jersey. This is encouraging for the future. I also remember the good behavior of the entire ARKEA - B&B HOTELS team. We are in our waypoints and we will continue in the same vein.
