Ewen Costiou achieved his best result in the World Tour by finishing 8th in the queen stage of the Tour of Guangxi.

We knew that this 5th stage of the Tour Of Guangxi with a final steep climb and summit finish in Nongla would be decided by positioning. I really want to highlight the work done by all my teammates from the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team competing here in China, who were super involved for me throughout the stage, and a really special mention to David Dekker who overtook me at the first bend in 3rd position. He was really strong today, and I thank him, because thanks to this positioning I was able to manage my climb very well with the best. I managed in the final despite the steep slope to adjust my small group in the final sprint in the last 150 meters. There is now one stage left to go and we will do everything collectively to finish this Tour of Guangxi well which ends tomorrow in Naning.
