Thursday's Boucles de l'Aulne was the first act in a fine weekend in Brittany. Team ARKEA - B&B HOTELS went on the offensive, finishing on the podium with Clément Venturini taking third place in the sprint.

The Boucles de l'Aulne was the first of four races to be run this week by the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team on its home turf in Brittany, and by its title partners ARKEA and B&B HOTELS. It's a weekend ‘at home’. We're determined to perform well in all the races. The Boucles de l'Aulne was a hard-fought race, with a tough final sprint that got a bit choppy. I finished 3rd. It's a good result to start with. I've got two races left with the Grand Prix du Morbihan on Saturday and the Tro Bro Leon on Sunday. Last year, I finished second in the Tro Bro Leon. We'll take it race by race. My result is a good start to this cycle of the ‘four Breton classics’, and I hope that the team can continue in this vein.

We told ourselves that we had to make the race harder on the third section of the Menez Quelerc'h. We wanted to avoid arriving with too big a pack on the final circuit, because we felt it wasn't selective enough. So we tried. The final wasn't difficult enough for Kévin Vauquelin to finish alone. So we put ourselves at the service of Clément Venturini. He put in a good sprint and finished third. The podium is positive. We came here to win. It's a result that kicks off the four days of racing on our territory. I hope that over the next three races, we'll manage to win. In any case, that's what we want.
