Clémence Latimier was part of the breakaway on the third stage. She won the Combativity Award.

This morning, Grégoire le Calvé asked me what I wanted to do on this stage. I told him that I wanted to try to break away. During the warm-up, I tried to loosen up my legs. At the starting line, I positioned myself well for the start. When the first rider launched the attack, I tried to follow her. There was a battle to break away. In the end, I managed it. Once we got going, I gave it my all. The first ten minutes were intense. Once we had opened up a gap, things stabilised. In the end, I had nothing left. But it's unimaginable for me to find myself on the podium for the Combativity Award when this is my first Tour de France. It's a dream come true. I couldn't have imagined it. I'm happy to be completing my first Tour de France with the ARKEA – B&B HOTELS team, who believed in me and signed me as a professional on 1 May, even though a year ago no one knew me. They've given me a unique opportunity. I'm happy to have won this award today for all that.

We had chosen two girls to go to the front today, and Clémence was one of them. She played the game even though it wasn't that easy. We thought it would happen at kilometre 0. It took longer to settle. She broke away with three strong girls. She rode 150 km at the front. It's a great story. She's been a professional since May. She's raced consistently and shown great potential, which led us to choose her to participate in the Tour de France. And now, on the third stage, she's made a long breakaway and won the combativity award. I don't think she could have imagined this three months ago.
