First pro top 10 for Titia Ryo in Mallorca!

A neo-pro in the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team, Titia Ryo immediately found her feet. The young and talented Breton scored her first top 10 finish in the professional category with 9th place in the Trofeo Benissalem-Andratx.

“I’m happy with my debut in the professional ranks. I’ve shown that I can be trusted in certain races, and that in others I can give 100% to the team. Unfortunately, Lotte Claes and Océane Mahé crashed out when we were all three in front. So in the final, I found myself a bit on my own. But I managed to cope. I surprised myself today. I was a bit apprehensive about the level I was going to be at for my professional debut. It was difficult at the end of the race, but I managed to finish in the top 10 and I’m delighted for the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team and myself”.

Grégoire Le Calvé, sports director

“For Titia, it’s a very good place at 19 years of age, because she followed the best in the final, on her professional debut. What we regret is that Lotte Claes and Océane Mahé crashed on a descent. That meant we didn’t have three girls up front in the final. But that’s sport and you can’t redo the race. My assessment of our first few days of competition in 2024 is that with a very young squad, including five U23s, we showed determination and cohesion, while achieving some good results. That’s very exciting for the rest of the season.”
