Nicknamed “the French rocket”, Arnaud Démare is one of the best sprinters in the world. The Picard who won two cycling jerseys at the Giro – for a total of eight stages – has also won numerous times on the roads of the Tour de France. With 95 victories in the professional ranks, Arnaud Démare has also won the French Championships three times, classics including a monument, Milan San Remo; as well as the Vattenfall Cyclassics Hamburg, and Paris-Tours twice. After a few weeks, Picard was able to find his place and the path to success within the Breton team by winning the Tour de Vendée and Paris-Bourges in quick succession.
