“I am going to resume competition in the Tour de Suisse. I am very happy to go racing, I feel better physically. I no longer have any contraindications regarding my finger. I started his rehabilitation this week. I am working on his mobility, and even if I have not yet regained full range of motion, I feel that it is progressing day by day. But the most important thing is my feelings which improve every day during training. The Tour de Suisse is an event that I enjoy, even if I know that few stages will be favorable to sprinters. This will be an important crossing point in view of the next deadlines.”

Kévin Vauquelin

“The Tour de Suisse will mark the start of my second part of the season. I cut to the evening of Liège-Bastogne-Liège, then I continued with an altitude training course of several weeks in Sierra Nevada, with some of my teammates from the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team. I am going to the Tour de Suisse to fine-tune the final settings for the next events, and in particular for the time trial, as the French Championships approach. It will also be a good test in the mountains. My goal will be to seize the opportunities that will present themselves to me during this week of recovery on the Tour de Suisse. This return to racing will also allow me to get back into the rhythm of the competition. I’m really looking forward to putting on a bib to see where I stand compared to my opponents.”

Yvon Ledanois, Directeur sportif

“The Tour de Suisse will be Kévin Vauquelin’s return to competition after his good start to the season. He completed an altitude training course for several weeks in Sierra Nevada, and the Swiss event will mark the start of his second part of the year, in an event that gives pride of place to the mountains, and including two time trials. . We will see from day to day with Kévin in this race, it will be up to him to seize the opportunities that present themselves to him, and then we will advise to know which table we will aim for. This will be the same motto for the entire ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team involved in this competition. Arnaud Démare will also take part in this competition. The goal for him will be above all to perfect his physical condition during the race so that it is as close as possible to 100% at the end of the week spent on Swiss soil.
