Gael Le Bellec: "we aim for a stage win"

The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS women’s team will be at the start of the Bretagne Ladies Tour from 22 to 24 May. It’s a great opportunity to compete in our region.

Marie-Morgane Le Deunff

‘I’m ambitious and I want to do well in the Tour de Bretagne. I’m racing at home and I’ll have all my family and friends there to cheer me on, especially on the first stage, which I’ve drawn up at the request of the organisers on my training routes. The Bretagne Ladies Tour will mark my comeback. If I manage to shine at home in front of my family, it will be exceptional for me. We have a good ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team and we’re determined to do well in Brittany.’

Gael Le Bellec, sports director

‘With the Bretagne Ladies Tour, we have a new opportunity to compete on home soil. Our aim will be to win a stage. As far as the general classification is concerned, we’ll see how it evolves for us as the stages go by. As for the race, we’ve got some very beautiful stages ahead of us, with some fairly difficult sections, particularly in the Monts d’Arrée. There will be almost 1,800 metres of ascent on these two stages. In the event of a sprint, we’ll be relying on Michaela Drummond, who has already proved her worth in this area. For the time trial, we’re counting on Emilia Fahlin, who has prepared well for this event. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team is highly motivated and we’re delighted to be starting this latest edition of the Bretagne Ladies Tour in Grand-Champ on Wednesday.”
