“I had a difficult week with a heavy fall at the end of the first stage. I held on for the two stages that followed, where I took 12th and 9th place. My fall canceled my possibilities of doing better. Despite everything, I feel that the form is there and I can’t wait to plan for the next objectives.”

Vincenzo Albanese

“We saw a new arrival in the sprint on this last stage. It was complicated with a fall in the last turn, before the final straight. I finished 10th. The week was overall positive with two Top 10s. The entire ARKEA – B&B HOTELS team was by my side. The physical condition is good and that bodes well for the future.”

Roger Tréhin, Directeur Sportif

“On this last stage, the ARKEA – B&B HOTELS team wanted to be offensive on the final circuit. Given the configuration of the race, which was very fast, this was not possible. Across the entire Boucles de la Mayenne, we see that the general classification changed little after the prologue. Behind, we saw almost three sprint finishes, except on the 2nd stage where Bettiol (final winner) and Hirschi made the difference. We then had no other choice than to hunt for bonuses to be well placed. The fall of Clément Venturini, during the first stage, was not favorable to us. His fall jeopardized his chances of a better general classification.
Thibault Guernalec, who did a great job for the collective, takes 12th place overall.”
