“Veenendaal-Veenendaal is a relatively flat race, often nervous due to the wind. The course which is uncovered sometimes also favors the formation of edges, depending on the wind and its strength. We will have to stay focused and ride as a team in this particular race, from start to finish. It’s an event that can smile on sprinters. I think my mission will be to watch over them throughout the race, to reposition them if necessary, to get them to enter the right edge if the wind allows such a racing strategy. I will be focused on them all the time. I should keep them in the first positions of the peloton to prevent them from taking any breaks.”

Luca Mozzato

“Antwerp Port Epic is a special race that I have competed in a few times already. This experience will be beneficial to me. It is a real replica of a classic with paths, but also paved sectors placed on the route. The difference will be made especially in these strategic locations. We can have legitimate ambitions with the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team in this race like all the competitions on the calendar that we are required to run. When we start an event, the goal is always to make the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team jersey shine. We will see the tactics applied on “D” day, but the objective will be to be strong collectively in order to be able to respond presently on this Antwerp Port Epic.”

Arnaud Gérard, Directeur sportif

“Veenendaal-Veenedaal is a thirty-five kilometer circuit event to be done five times. It is a completely flat race without any difficulty. The only one that can invite itself is the wind! And there, watch out for the edges! We will have a solid group around Luca Mozzato who can achieve a good sprint at the finish of this event. This will also mark the return to competition of Florian Sénéchal and Miles Scotson who will return from an altitude training course in the Sierra Nevada lasting several weeks. Antwerp Port Epic, Sunday, is an atypical event made up of twenty-four kilometers of cobblestones, and thirty-four of paths. There, our cards will be Luca Mozzato, Florian Sénéchal and Clément Venturini. We will have to be active, so this can allow the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team to achieve a good result in this very good competition on the Belgian calendar.
